Conor Dunne is a Graphic Designer who focuses on materiality and physical forms to communicate his ideas. Sustainability and history are the key focuses in his work and have propelled him to undertake this project which aims to explore Ireland's loss of its native woodlands and biodiversity.
Ireland is known for its lush greenery and woodlands but the reality is that the country's nature is not what it once was. By using the materials which grow in Ireland today Conor intends to highlight how we have lost so much rich biodiversity and reverence for the very woodlands we herald.
Ireland’s forests were an integral part of our culture and the materials and ecosystems they provided were key in our survival. With the destruction of these woodlands and the for-profit attempts to revive our forests, what have we lost and what could we gain?
