I have always been inspired by the circle as both a symbol and a tool of design. As an illustrator and image maker, I am fascinated by its versatility and its aesthetic value. How it withholds all and has everything emerge out of it; everything from humans to nature revolving in a circular way.
My work is concerned with sustainability, texture, urban environments, the natural world, and the expressive use of colour, underpinned by accompanying research and contextual study of circles in different forms. I am always trying to find a level of wholeness and balance in the process of my research and its outcomes.
Through image making, narrative illustration, and moving image, I was able to explore the wholeness, unity, entity and perfection of the circle. In particular, how life is without beginning or end and the balance of such in between.
