“In every walk with nature, one receives far more than seeks” – John Muir
My inspiration is a combination of my communion with nature; my love of reading and my passion to understand and amalgamate the natural world with the one made by a man with its forms and rules.
Reading a good story was not always easy for me as I had a reading impediment until I was 13 years old. Many people experience reading challenges as children and adults. Fortunately, dyslexia is well known nowadays and support in schools is provided.
My work invites the viewer, in a playful and delicate way, into the challenge of experiencing the required patience and frustration of trying to read while using, decoding a new system of the ‘tree leaf’ alphabet and the joy of achievement when the task is accomplished.
