“One in four women in Ireland who have been in a relationship have been abused by a current or former partner” - Women's Aid Ireland.
By investigating gender-based violence through research and interviews with professionals I realised the hugely overlooked issue of relationship violence. My project aim was to create a product that raises awareness of the 'red flags' from potential partners when dating.
Tick, Ick or Prick makes education on relationship violence fun. An arcade game called Tick, Ick or Prick would be put in public spaces with the purpose of educating on partner violence. The game lets you choose if your partner is a 'Tick', 'Ick' or 'Prick' based on prompts. Your result is shown and answers are printed on a receipt that also educates you on the signs of 'red flags' and where to learn more about the topic.
