Photography allows me and its viewers to take a breath. I love to explore different aspects of life; spirituality in the world around us, nature such as birdlife, rivers, life by the sea, the surface of water and the connections between all these things. As an artist, I use the mediums of photography, video, drawing and writing as forms of expression, investigation, communication and representation. Artworks allow me to expand the moment, giving time for contemplation and reflection. In my recent work I have been exploring birds on Sandymount Strand.
We will not lose this breath of the ocean.
The tide goes out so far,
no distance for the birds.
They swing on the wind by the shore
while ships seem stranded in the sand.
We will not lose this breath of the ocean.
All rivers flow into the sea.
All waters connected in the ocean.
We breathe deeply in the heart
that touches the soul.
