The climate crisis threatens almost everyone, so stopping it is in their best interest, even if they don’t realise it. The only people safe from the crisis are rich people, who will always have the money to buy what they need to survive.
This work is intended to show how the climate crisis will have an immediate impact on lots of people, especially the poor, and worsen problems like homelessness and starvation. The illustrations might scare people, but fear is a feeling we all need to feel to protect us from danger. We also need fear so we can feel love. Accompanying a love for something, is the fear of losing it. This body of work is intended to show this, too.
My illustrative style allows viewers to engage with the work in a gentle way, whilst also showing them the seriousness of this crisis.
